PReSTaR
acts as an international academic research service to the paediatric rheumatology community for the implementation of
non-profit trials, disease registries and
other research
initiatives led by investigators
(consensus conferences, cross-cultural adaptations of questionnaires, research training and courses).
Currently, PReSTaR is coordinating the following projects:
Trial of Sequential Medications AfteR TNF failure in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
International study comparing treatment strategies for children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis who have not responded adequately to initial TNF inhibitor therapy.
Granting Agency: Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute
Registry of patients (children and adults) with auto-inflammatory diseases.
The EuroFever project was initially promoted in 2008 by the work group of autoinflammatory diseases of the Paediatric Rheumatology European Society (PRES) and was supported by the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC), with the main objective of creating a registry of autoinflammatory diseases.
International registry of young and adult patients with COVID-19 related hyper-inflammation.
A joined PReS, ESID, ISSAID, ERN-RITA network’s effort has been started with the aim to buid a registry of children and young adults who have developed serious inflammatory condition in temporal association with COVID-19 in the community.
International longitudinal registry of patients with Kawasaki Disease.
Retrospective-prospective, observational, descriptive study of patients with Kawasaki disease for the comparison and performance of IVIg resistance scores in a multi-centric European and North Indian cohort of KD. The project is in the process of evolving into an international longitudinal registry for patients with Kawasaki Disease.
International study investigating sensitivity and predictive value of ultrasound and a multi-biomarker panel.
Applicability of standardized ultrasound examination to estimate disease activity in combination with JADAS and inflammation markers in JIA patients.
PReSTaR is committed to continuously expanding its research activities. We are currently planning innovative new clinical studies in the following areas:
