PReS and PReSTaR extend their sincere congratulations to Dr Kirsty McLellan (Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, United Kingdom) on being awarded the very first PReS-supported PReSTaR Call for Grants with the outstanding project:
“When Standard Therapies Fail: International Insights into JAK Inhibitors for Refractory Paediatric-Onset Still’s Disease (MAS-sJIA WP)”
The Principal Investigator has officially received the Grant Award Letter, marking the formal launch of this important and forward-looking initiative.
Selected from a highly competitive pool of 10 applications across multiple Working Parties, this proposal was recognized by the Evaluators Board as a significant step forward in advancing our mission within the 2025 strategic initiatives.
As the winning project, it will benefit from three years of financial support from PReS, along with matched in-kind support in personnel from PReSTaR, subject to approval of annual progress reports by the PReSTaR Scientific Committee.
All resulting presentations and publications will acknowledge the support of both PReS and PReSTaR. Upon completion, a comprehensive final report will outline key outcomes, the project’s impact on improving care and outcomes for children and young people, the strengthening of collaboration across PReS Working Parties and stakeholders, and future development plans.
Congratulations once again to Dr McLellan on this remarkable achievement and on leading a project with such meaningful potential for clinical impact!
